Liverpool acupuncturist, Norma, graduated from the Northern College of Acupuncture, York,with a postgraduate degree in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, achieving a distinction in her final year. Norma is a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network, the North West Acupuncture Childbirth Team and the British Acupuncture Council.
Specialist areas of interest
Norma specialises in acupuncture for infertility, women’s health and pregnancy and has undertaken extensive training with leading experts in these fields. She has a great amount of experience working with women and men with fertility issues, assisting many to achieve their goal either naturally or through assisted fertility. In 2011 Norma set up the Hewitt Fertility Centre Acupuncture Clinic in Liverpool Women’s Hospital. The clinic is very popular and offers a fully integrated acupuncture service to couples undergoing fertility treatment.
Norma has a special interest in using acupuncture to alleviate painful conditions and musculoskeletal problems, such as back neck and shoulder issues, and in treating emotional and stress related conditions, such as anxiety, insomnia and digestive problems. As a leading Liverpool acupuncturist Norma has been successful in treating patients for over 10 years in the city.
About Ioana
Ioana Davies was awarded her acupuncture degree from Middlesex University London in 2012. During her training, she treated patients referred to the pain clinics in Whittington, North Middlesex and Royal Free Hospitals.
Since qualifying she has focussed on pain management, musculo-skeletal issues, anxiety disorders and fertility acupuncture. Ioana joined the practice in 2016 and has gained the trust and appreciation of numerous patients who praise her empathy and devotion. She is a full member of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (ATCM).
